September at the Altar: A Santa Muerte Prayer for Protection, Work, and Opening Roads

September tends to mark the close of one cycle and the start of another: the return to work and school routines, and often, the need to resolve something left pending earlier in the year. Many devotees use this month to ask for protection over what they've already built, and clarity for what still hasn't opened.

A simple altar arrangement

A simple arrangement: the chosen veladora at the center, a glass of water, and if possible, something that represents what you want protected — a copy of a contract, a work tool, or a key.

Santa Muerte, as this cycle closes I ask you to protect what I've already built through effort,

and for clarity to open the way where today I find only obstacles.

May what's been achieved not be lost, and may what remains unresolved find its moment.
